Methodology
A methodology sets out a process that should be followed to ensure consistent production and delivery of results. It specifies activities to be performed, roles of participants, techniques to be used and deliverables to be produced. In our experience no single method or tool covers the full scope of architectural and data modeling. We thus tend to use a mix of techniques which, over the years, have proven to be the most efficient to collect requirements, define procedures and specifications and build the very best technical solutions to fit the customer's needs. In our methodology we identify the orderly steps necessary to make any specification gradually become more and more concrete.
- UML: While we keep our mind open for maximum flexibility in modeling we believe that the majority of specifications can be modelled using the Sequence, Activity and State diagramming techniques from UML. Extended knowledge of CASE tools based on UML allows us to be readily integrated in complex development teams focalized on RAD-like modeling techniques.
- Feature Driven: Defining tasks and priorities early in the planning stage and sticking to them allows for a successful delivery. Feature driven method stresses the delivery of the most important features of a project and thus prioritizes the deliveries of what the customer needs first.
